PointsPulse ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome extension and web dashboard service.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

Loyalty Program Data: Our Chrome extension reads points balances, miles totals, and expiration dates from loyalty program websites when you are logged into those sites. This includes data from airline, hotel, and credit card reward programs.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We never collect or store your login credentials (usernames or passwords) for any loyalty program. Our extension only reads data from pages when you are already logged in. We cannot and do not access your accounts on your behalf.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers located in the United States, provided by Supabase (our database provider). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

Stripe: For payment processing
Supabase: For secure data storage

These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export your data

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 30 days in case you wish to reactivate. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion at any time.

Chrome Extension Permissions

Our Chrome extension requires certain permissions to function:

Read browsing data on specific sites: To read your points balances from loyalty program websites when you're logged in
Storage: To temporarily store data locally before syncing to your dashboard

We only access data from supported loyalty program websites. We do not track your general browsing activity.

Children's Privacy

PointsPulse is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
